Tagging of Lesser adjutant stork.

With due permissions to Ela Foundation, Pune, for ringing and tagging, one more species- the Lesser Adjutant Stork (Leptoptilos javanicus) was ringed and tagged. 2nd Sensitization, enrolment and health checkup workshop conducted successfully at Bhigwan.

The 2nd Sensitization, enrolment, and health checkup workshop was successfully conducted at Bhigwan, district Pune, Maharashtra, for Forest Department staff, fishermen, and individuals residing in the close vicinity of the wetlands frequented by migratory birds. It was conducted by ELA Foundation, Symbiosis Medical College for Women, and ICMR-NIV on 3rd May 2025.
