The 2nd Sensitization, enrolment, and health checkup workshop was successfully conducted at Bhigwan, district Pune, Maharashtra, for Forest Department staff, fishermen, and individuals residing in the close vicinity of the wetlands frequented by migratory birds. It was conducted by ELA Foundation, Symbiosis Medical College for Women, and ICMR-NIV on 3rd May 2025.
One Health Sensitisation and Awareness workshop was held at Solapur Van Bhavan on 14th June 2025. Fifty-nine participants attended and willingly enrolled in the study.
One Health Sensitization workshop for forest development staff was successfully held by Ela Foundation and NIV, Pune, at Ela Habitat, Pingori, Pune on 24 May 2025. 52 staff from Bhor, Velhe, Nasrapur, and Saswad participated. Dr. Satish Pande, Director, Ela Foundation, trained scientists about the ‘One Health‘ approach under PM-ABHIM ‘F’ component (NOHM) at ICAR- NIHSAD, Bhopal on ornithological aspects. The second workshop took place on 4th February 2025.
Dr Satish Pande interacted with the ground force of the forest department, who are actively involved in witnessing wildlife, wildlife-human interactions interactions and diseases. Making them understand that One Health was of paramount importance, given the emerging zoonotic diseases.
